White Denim at Twist & Shout on Thursday, March 24th at 6pm

Last night we had White Denim play a set at our shop. This Austin band brought the blues-rock jams and shook the house!! Lead singer James Petralli’s soulful voice has a hint of 70’s southern rock, but their music is modern and intricate. The rhythms are often jazz influenced, with strong melodies. White Denim has just enough of a psychedelic hue to keep it weird. The crowd and staff really enjoyed this intimate performance. The whole band was so friendly; I am a bigger fan now that had a chance to meet them. It was the start of their tour, and we felt honored to be the launch for the new album Stiff. Twist and Shout sold the new album a day before the national release, so that made this event really special for the Denver fans. The band members were clearly vinyl lovers, and ended up leaving with a stack of 45s and LPs. Check out this great band the next time you get the chance.
