Steve Earle at Twist & Shout on Saturday, February 14th at 5pm

Saturday night we had the honor of hosting an in-store performance with Steve Earle. It was an epic turn-out in celebration of the new release Terraplane (out 2/17). Twist and Shout had the album available a few days early and fans were able to meet with Steve Earle after the performance. The set was intense and fantastic just like every Steve Earle set. His song writing skills never cease to amaze me, and this album has so many stories to absorb. I have so much respect for the way Earle has garnered experience throughout his life, and transforms it into such powerful songs. He makes you feel the blues, and there is a raw earnest quality to his music that I love. Even though this was on Valentine’s Day, this was something more meaningful than a lobster dinner with candlelight. Steve Earle’s stance on the world is so similar to what is in my heart that I just had to hug and thank him at the end for spending so much time at our store with his fans. Thanks to New West Records and his team for helping make the whole event so memorable. It was just such a great night in so many ways, one of the biggest crowds we have had at this location, so this really was an outstanding night!
