Mumford & Sons At Twist & Shout On Friday, August 16th At 2:30pm

On Friday, August 16th Twist & Shout hosted a truly unique event with Mumford and Sons. This fantastic day left every single person here smiling from ear to ear. It was a superb performance from Britain’s beloved folk-rock quartet. They did a one-of-a-kind, acoustic, and fully un-plugged set with no microphones at all. The strings and vocals were just floating in the air. The crowd and staff were absolutely hushed which allowed the magic to happen. Each person in the store was mindful of the quiet tension that was all around us. Every single ear was locked into the tunes. They played a short set that included “Wild Heart”, “Guiding Light”, “The Cave”, and “Ditmas”. One of the highlights for us was when Ben Lovett mentioned that Twist & Shout was one of the coolest record stores in the world. After this special show the band jumped right into the crowd for a few photos with the fans. To have Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane that close was electrifying to the people around them. Staff members all worked hard to bring this special event to fruition. We are left with a feeling of gratitude and satisfaction we pulled off one for the history books!
